Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 25, 2026

This policy explains what information ManicSoup Labs (“we,” “us”) collects through manicsoup.com and our WordPress plugins, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what’s needed to sell and support our software, we don’t sell your information, and you can ask us for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account: your name (optional), email address, and a password (stored hashed, never in plain text).

Purchase information. When you buy: your order history, plan, and billing status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us only what’s needed to manage your subscription (such as card brand and last four digits).

License and activation information. To operate licensing: your license key (stored encrypted), the site URLs where you activate it, and activation counts.

Plugin telemetry. Our plugins report minimal, non-personal install information (such as plugin version and whether the install is active) so licensing and update delivery work. We do not collect the content of your site.

Support communications. Tickets and messages you send us, including your email address if you contact us without an account.

Cookies. We use cookies necessary for the Site to function: keeping you signed in and remembering your cart. We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use information

To deliver purchases, issue and validate licenses, provide downloads and automatic updates, process payments and refunds, send transactional email (receipts, license delivery, renewal reminders, support replies), answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We send marketing email only if you’ve opted in, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the store, and only what each needs:

Stripe (payment processing) · Brevo (transactional email delivery) · Pressidium (site hosting). Each processes data under its own privacy policy and our instructions. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

How long we keep information

Account and order records are kept while your account exists and as required for tax and accounting purposes. Support tickets are kept so we have context if you contact us again. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal information not required for legal record-keeping.

Your rights and choices

You can access and update your account details from your account page, and cancel subscriptions there at any time. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by opening a ticket on the Support page. We honor these requests regardless of where you live, including rights under the EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act where they apply. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted license storage, hashed passwords, and payment handling that keeps card details with Stripe rather than on our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

Children

Our products are for business and professional use and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reasonably communicated.
